Leadership and career coaching for individuals

Coaching and thinking partnership for leaders, teams and organisations — sustainable careers led by choice, not by default.

Whether you're navigating a leadership challenge, a career inflection point, or a return from leave — coaching is where you put everything down, look through it with fresh eyes, and decide what to pick back up again.

Sessions are 1:1, virtual or in-person at Old Sessions House, Clerkenwell. Each programme begins with a chemistry conversation and a scoping call, where we agree your goals and set your session schedule — so the programme holds its shape and you can plan around it.

Career and leadership are treated as one piece of work. The key questions for leading well are usually the same questions that shape a sustainable career. Coaching provides the structure to explore both.

With Purpose 1:1 executive coaching programme

With Purpose 1:1 includes:

  • Six x 1:1 executive coaching sessions, approximately every fortnight.

  • Detailed summaries of coaching conversations – insights, questions, reflective prompts and actions to embed learning and maintain momentum

  • 3 months of WhatsApp voice-and-text support in between sessions, for questions, reflections, or moments when you need to think something through quickly.

  • Bespoke tools, models, and frameworks we have developed together, tailored to you and adapted as your context evolves

What we work on

Every programme is scoped to you - but these are the areas most clients want to work through

Leadership Focus

For leaders navigating challenge, change, or a step up. Coaching provides the headspace that the diary doesn't — a confidential space to think strategically, not just react.

  • Senior leaders shaping change — so they lead it with intention and bring their teams with them

  • High-potential employees stepping up — so they take on bigger remit with confidence, not just a longer to-do list

  • Leaders absorbing pressure through sustained change — so they stay grounded without losing themselves

  • Underrepresented leaders navigating systems not originally designed for them — an authentic leadership style that doesn't require becoming someone else

“I am truly grateful to you for your support. I have found our sessions very nourishing and grounding and I have really benefited from the way that you have crystalised my half thoughts and reflections so coherently. As I said, your influence has been transformational for me as I have traversed this uncertain period of my personal and professional life.”

CEO, Multi Academy Trust

“I had no idea what to expect but I don’t think I’ve ever had a conversation quite like it. Emma is an excellent listener and questioner. The content came from me but she was able to draw it out in a way which gave structure to it and allowed me to see connections and themes that I hadn’t spotted I don’t think I ever would have spotted even though it’s stuff I’ve thought about loads. Before I wasn’t sure before whether it was something I would want to do but I really want to do it again now. Properly illuminating stuff!”

Barrister, Leading Civil Chambers

"Emma’s support has been invaluable. She created a space where I could focus on the issues that mattered most to me, always striking the perfect balance between mentoring and coaching. Emma intuitively knew when to step back and let me lead the conversation, and when to offer thoughtful guidance or practical advice. Her insight and approach made a real difference to my development as a leader."

Career Focus

For leaders who want change — better work, a different direction, a step forward — but aren't sure where to start or whether they're allowed to want it.

  • Clarity on what you actually want from your career, not what you think you should want

  • Understanding your strengths and how to articulate them authentically

  • Strategies for confidence, resilience and a positive mindset — including reframing imposter syndrome

  • Practical application: strong applications, promotion conversations, business cases, interview preparation

“I approached Emma when I had a difficult career choice to make. Emma had a brilliant disposition — she strikes the perfect balance of listening, asking open questions and really guides you to the right answer without inflicting her opinion on you. I walked away feeling empowered and motivated by my career choice."

Partner, Global Accountancy & Consultancy Firm

“I cannot recommend Emma enough. I contacted her when I was feeling stuck in my job, overwhelmed, and grappling with various big life decisions at the same time. By the end of our sessions I felt much more confident in my choices, having had the space to really think through what I wanted and why. Emma is warm, funny, and authentic — I always looked forward to seeing her.  I would definitely come back to Emma in future if I find myself at another crossroads or stuck in a rut, and would recommend her to friends and colleagues without hesitation.”

Academic, Higher Education

“I started working with Emma after deciding to leave a difficult situation and working environment in my career.  Emma also helped me to reflect on what I offer and represent as an employee, and the kind of leadership styles and organisational values that will work well for me. I finished my sessions with Emma with a clear idea about how to approach my job search, how to identify red flags from my side during the interview and selection process, how to provide feedback to recruiters who were not meeting my expectations and how to approach collaborating with both former colleagues and new professional connections in a way that is thoughtful and conductive to supporting longer term career planning and professional networking.”

Return to Work Focus

For leaders returning from extended leave — maternity, ill-health, sabbatical — so they come back with clarity and confidence rather than anxiety and pressure to re-prove themselves.

  • Strengths-based review of your leadership offer — what you bring, not what you've missed

  • Objective-setting for the return: realistic, impactful, yours

  • Strategies for wellbeing, confidence and positive mindset through a significant transition

  • If applicable: planning leave and handover, and making tangible use of KIT daysClarity on what you actually want from your career, not what you think you should want

  • Understanding your strengths and how to articulate them authentically

“Emma is coaching me through starting maternity leave and returning to work. I cannot recommend Emma highly enough. I am thinking about things in new ways, lifting barriers I thought impossible to tackle, and learning new skills, all done by Emma with huge consideration that this is a tiring and difficult time already. It feels gentle yet incredibly purposeful, and like I am making a huge difference to my current self and my future career, at a pace that feels right for me. Thank you again, Emma, for all your support.”

Head of Marketing, Global Legal AI company

“Emma’s coaching came at exactly the right time as I was preparing to return to work after maternity leave. As a single mother, I had plenty of worries about how I’d manage the daily juggle of work and parenting — but Emma’s calm, compassionate, and practical support helped me feel seen, heard, and capable.

She asked the right questions, helped me challenge my self-doubt, and reminded me to be kind to myself through this big transition. What really stood out was how empowering the process felt — she never told me what to do but guided me to find solutions that truly worked for me.

Now that I’ve been back at work for a few months, I can honestly say the strategies we discussed have helped me re-enter the workplace with more confidence and clarity than I thought possible. I’m so grateful for Emma’s guidance, and I’d recommend her to any woman or mother navigating a career or life transition.”
